This 1400-acre community started around 2005 and was designed by some of Texas’ most famous home builders such as Perry, David Weekly, Highland, Coventry, and Plantation. It is one of the largest master planned subdivisions in Katy with over 1700 homes, still has new homes being built, and features a wide array of options from patio homes in gated sections to luxury estates.
The subdivision is named after an evergreen shrub with orange-red berries which is indigenous to the Texas prairie. The goal was to blend with the best nature has to offer by offering 150 acres devoted to parks and recreational amenities.
